Investment fraud early detection
Problem
Adults aged 50+ have no tool to instantly assess whether investment solicitation messages received via KakaoTalk, YouTube, or text are fraudulent. The Financial Supervisory Service's fraud report lookup is only available after damage has already occurred, and there is no service that performs real-time matching against unregistered firms, unrealistic return claims, or typical scam patterns. Investment fraud losses among adults 50+ reach hundreds of millions of dollars annually, and over 60% of victims say they 'were initially suspicious but had no way to verify.'
Solution
On a web app: (1) paste a suspicious investment solicitation message (text/URL/image) to receive an instant fraud risk assessment in three levels (Safe/Caution/Danger), (2) view itemized assessment rationale (unregistered firm, unrealistic returns, typical scam phrase patterns), and (3) cross-reference in real-time against the Financial Supervisory Service's unregistered firm database and National Police Agency cyber fraud report keywords.
